 Breaking: The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has secured arrest warrants for three individuals allegedly linked to the theft of precious metals, a matter that recently emerged during proceedings at the Madlanga Commission.

A suspended Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officer was arrested on the East Rand on Friday evening. Another suspect, reportedly involved in the private security industry, is expected to hand himself over to authorities.
A third suspect, who is also an EMPD officer, was not at home when police attempted to execute the arrest warrant.
The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests have not been ruled out.
