The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the conviction and sentencing of 28-year-old male accused, Fannie Lehong Ramolomo by the Senwabarwana Regional Court on Thursday, 30 April 2026. The case relates to an incident that occurred on 12 August 2022 at about 16:00 in Gatibunyana village under Senwabarwana policing area. A 12-year-old boy was walking home from school with a friend when they encountered the accused who was wearing only trousers and no shoes. Fannie chased the pair and grabbed the victim and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash and a watch. He then demanded a cellphone. When the minor said he did not have one, the accused dragged him to nearby bushes where the rape occurred. Following the incident, the victim ran home and informed his family.
