The Police in Mpumalanga are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Xolani Masuku and Samuel Mthokozisi Mabethe, who are wanted in connection with the murder of Sibongiseni Sithole in Delmas in 2023.



 The Police in Mpumalanga are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Xolani Masuku and Samuel Mthokozisi Mabethe, who are wanted in connection with the murder of Sibongiseni Sithole in Delmas in 2023.


It is alleged that on 11 June 2023, Sibongiseni Sithole was at the residence of the two suspects when he was stabbed and his body was dumped a few metres away. The body was discovered by a passerby who alerted the family.

Masuku and Mabethe were arrested at the time, but the case was not enrolled due to insufficient evidence. Following a thorough investigation by the assigned investigating officer, which included the collection of additional evidence and statements from witnesses, the docket was resubmitted to court.

The court has since enrolled the matter and issued warrants of arrest for both suspects. Police believe the pair have since gone into hiding.

The police are making every effort to trace and re-arrest the suspects.
