 ⚡ Power Infrastructure Update | Brakpan

Executive Mayor Ald Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, together with MMC fo
r Metro Utilities and Trading Services Cllr Jean Sthato and MMC for Metro Operations and Maintenance Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi, conducted an oversight visit to the Van Eck Park Substation in Brakpan today.
The visit focused on monitoring the ongoing cable upgrade project between Van Eck Park, Vulcania and Dalpark substations. These upgrades aim to improve electricity supply reliability and reduce power outages affecting Brakpan, Langaville and KwaThema.
As part of the project, early warning anti-theft technology is also being installed alongside the new cables currently being laid to strengthen infrastructure security and service continuity.
