Major General Feroz Khan and Major General Ebrahim Kadwa have been arrested in connection with alleged illicit dealings in precious metals. The arrests were part of an investigation by the Gauteng Counter-Intelligence Operations unit, and they are expected to face charges including corruption and unlawful possession of precious metals. The arrests were made following a raid on their residence, and they are scheduled to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Monday, 11 May 2026.

 Tuesday 5 May 2026 #WANTED The #HAWKS members from Pietermaritzburg Serious Commercial Crime Investigation are seeking information on the whereabouts of Gugu Maria Zikalala (55), who is wanted in connection with a fraud case. In March 2015, Zikalala is alleged to have submitted a false affidavit to the Master of the High Court in Pietermaritzburg, falsely claiming she was eligible for appointment as executor of the estate of the late Nqobile Minenhle Ndlovu and falsely claiming to be her biological mother. Zikalala also submitted a death certificate for the late Thulani Michael Ndlovu, the biological father of Nqobile Minenhle Ndlovu. Her application sought access to the minor’s guardian funds, amounting R243 983.09. The Hawks are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Gugu Maria Zikalala.
