Fadiel Adams, the leader of the National Coloured Congress (NCC) and a Member of Parliament, has been arrested on fraud and obstruction of justice charges related to the murder of the late ANC Youth League leader, Sindiso Magaqa. The South African Police Service (SAPS) has issued a J50 warrant for his arrest, and he is accused of interfering with crucial investigations. Adams has made a defiant statement, asserting he is not intimidated and will not be silenced. He has also expressed a disregard for political consequences, focusing instead on the criminal aspect of the case.
His lawyer Bruce Hendricks has confirmed that he will appear in the Pinetown Magistrates Court on Thursday 7 May 2026 on charges of allegedly interfered with a non-convicted and advanced state of probe.
