Deadly Ambush in Durban: Crime Intelligence Officer Killed, Colleague Airlifted to Hospital: A shooting incident occurred in Mount Edgecombe, where two South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Intelligence officers were ambushed. One officer was killed at the scene, while the other was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The Acting National Commissioner of SAPS has ordered the mobilization of maximum resources to track down the suspects responsible for this targeted attack, which has been described as a direct assault on the authority of the state.
