​Delighting our customers and providing diligent service remains one of the City’s ultimate goals. Energy Department teams are on the ground across the metro, promptly attending to localized faults, maintenance, and power outages.
​Here is today's progress report:
➡️ ​#KemptonPark: Electricians are testing a cable fault from the meter box to a customer’s house in Allen Grove.
➡️ ​#Edenvale: A team is currently attending to a reported fault affecting 1st Avenue.
➡️ ​#Alberton: Streetlight repairs are successfully underway on Renonkel Street.
➡️ ​#Springs (Dersley Park): Electricians have replaced stolen fuses that caused a power outage on Kornlyn Street.
➡️ ​#Springs (CBD): Teams have also replaced stolen jumper cables on 4th Street to restore power.
➡️ ​#Thembisa: Substation maintenance and a transformer breaker replacement are ongoing in Sub C, Lekaneng. Technicians are also busy repairing a vandalised low-voltage building.

The matter stems from events that unfolded in the early hours of 17 December 2022. The accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision with Joshua Rock.
