Jared Kushner is an American businessman, investor, and political advisor, best known as Donald Trump’s son-in-law and a senior advisor in his administration.
Jared Corey Kushner was born on January 10, 1981, in Livingston, New Jersey, to Charles and Seryl Kushner. He grew up in a Modern Orthodox Jewish family, with his paternal grandparents being Holocaust survivors from Belarus. Kushner attended the Frisch School, a yeshiva high school, and graduated from Harvard University in 2003 with a B.A. in government, later earning a JD/MBA from New York University in 2007.

Business Career
Kushner took over the family real estate business, Kushner Companies, after his father was convicted of multiple crimes in 2005. He expanded the company’s portfolio and acquired The New York Observer in 2006, entering the publishing industry. In 2021, he founded the private equity firm Affinity Partners, which manages billions of dollars, including investments from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds.

Political Involvement
Kushner married Ivanka Trump in 2009, becoming Donald Trump’s son-in-law. He played a key role in Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and served as a senior advisor from 2017 to 2021. His responsibilities included overseeing the Office of American Innovation, facilitating the Middle East Peace Process, authoring the Trump peace plan, and helping broker the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab states. He also contributed to the administration’s COVID-19 response and the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement negotiations.
