The City is aware of a power outage affecting 📍#Thokoza, #Greenfield, #EdenPark, #AlrodeSouth, #BrackenhurstX5, #Albertsdal, and surrounding areas.
The Z6 Substation is currently off due to theft-related damage on the Eskom network. Eskom teams are still assessing and quantifying the extent of the damage, so we don't have an estimated restoration time (ERT) yet.
We will continue to provide updates as soon as we receive more information from Eskom.
We are working diligently to restore supply. An estimated restoration time will be communicated as soon as it becomes available. ⏳✨
We remain committed to keeping the lights on and responding to community service needs.

The matter stems from events that unfolded in the early hours of 17 December 2022. The accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision with Joshua Rock. Following the collision, he retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and threatened Rock.
