Lions and hyenas have a competitive and hostile relationship. They often compete for food and territory, leading to conflicts such as kleptoparasitism, where lions steal kills from hyenas. While lions are larger and stronger, hyenas outnumber them significantly, making them formidable competitors. Their shared ecological niches and overlapping territories create constant tension, resulting in confrontations and infanticide among their YOUNG.
