The NPA has decided not to prosecute the case at this stage, pending further investigation. The suspect, who was expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, has argued that he acted in self-defence after a minor traffic collision escalated into gunfire. The incident involved a shooting that left Rehman dead and another driver and a female passenger injured. The police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder, and the investigation is ongoing.
The 58-year-old man arrested in connection with the fatal road rage shooting of Faisal ul Rehman has been granted a not guilty plea by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
