The Bethlehem Detectives request community assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection with a theft case.

In March 2026, the complainant was asleep at her residence. At approximately 06:30, she heard a noise outside. Upon checking through the window, she observed an unknown African male removing copper pipes from the geyser. When confronted, the suspect fled the scene by jumping over the fence.

The complainant further alleges that this was not the first time the suspect attempted to steal copper pipes from the geyser. A case of theft is currently under investigation, and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information that can assist in identifying the person is urged to contact Bethlehem Detective investigating Officer, D/Constable ST Rathulo at 074 451 7618 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
