Bail Denied The Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court has denied the bail application of corruption-accused South African Police Service (Saps) member Sergeant Fannie Nkosi.

Bail Denied
The Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court has denied the bail application of corruption-accused South African Police Service (Saps) member Sergeant Fannie Nkosi.

The arrest was carried out on April 2 by a task team investigating evidence linked to the Madlanga Commission.

The State opposed bail, arguing that Nkosi’s access to sensitive police material and the seriousness of the charges justified his continued detention.

Nkosi will remain in custody until his next court appearance on the 21st of May 2026.
