Our electricity teams are hard at work across the City, responding to faults and restoring power to affected communities.
📍 #Primrose – Repairs are underway on a pillar box damaged in a vehicle accident.
📍 #SlovoPark – Teams have isolated the fault at the RMU and are conducting tests to restore supply safely.
📍 #Thokoza – Power was successfully restored in Moepshe Street after technicians identified and replaced a blown fuse affecting multiple customers. ✅
📍 #KemptonPark – Streetlight maintenance in progress, including rewiring fittings and replacing faulty lamps to improve visibility and safety. 💡
📍 #Thembisa (Winnie Mandela) – Ongoing replacement of a burnt low-voltage circuit breaker.
📍 #Thembisa (Clayville Ext 45) – Teams are on-site attending to a low-voltage fault.

The matter stems from events that unfolded in the early hours of 17 December 2022. The accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision with Joshua Rock. Following the collision, he retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and threatened Rock.
