The Junior Springboks won the championship cup on Sunday, May 3, 2026, defeating Australia U20 with a score of 56–17 in the 2026 Under-20 Rugby Championship match.

Head coach Kevin Foote praised the squad's growth, grit, and collective belief, noting significant improvement since the previous year. The team's performance was attributed to excellent preparation and the leadership of captain Riley Norton and the senior players.

The South African team scored eight tries, including two penalty tries. They defeated Australia at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
