REIGER PARK SHOOTING ACCUSED APPEARS IN COURT, ALLEGES BRUTAL ASSAULT IN POLICE CUSTODY Twenty-four-year-old Jamal Meyer appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday facing serious charges, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Meyer and 23-year-old Cheslyn Collis have been linked by the State to a fatal shooting in Reiger Park earlier this month. The two Anti-Gang Unit officers were reportedly responding to reports of gunfire when they came under attack. The victims have been identified as Constable Tlomatsane, Constable Sibeko, Roleen Lessing and Jayden Magerman. The State further alleges that Meyer and Collis attempted to murder another person during the incident and robbed the two deceased police officers of their service rifles.
